Elizabeth Amory-Teutsch

Elizabeth Amory-Teutsch earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Westminster Choir College, Princeton, New Jersey. During that time she studied voice, choral conducting, and performed with multiple ensembles including the Westminster Choir. After graduation, she continued to study voice and conducting at Westminster in their continuing education program.
In the fall of 1986, Elizabeth was hired as the choral director at Woodbridge High School, Woodbridge, New Jersey where she spent 33 years conducting choirs and teaching music theory. During her tenure at Woodbridge High, Elizabeth prepared and conducted multiple ensembles including several mixed (SATB) choirs, Women’s Choirs, Jazz Choir, and Show Choir. These groups performed in a wide range of musical styles and world languages earning them
national recognition annually.
Elizabeth is a founding member of the Woodbridge Community Players, established in 2009. This group presents a stage musical each summer. In that capacity she has served as vocal and instrumental director and set designer. She left the organization in 2015, but last summer joined their efforts again as set designer. The same Arts Initiative
that created this theater group also established the Woodbridge Community Choir, an ensemble she sang with for many years. Beth currently serves as Director for the Woodbridge Community Choir.
